Sleep and biorhythm

Sleep and biorhythmOur life revolves around a 24-hour rhythm: the transition between light and darkness caused by the revolution of the earth around her axis in the light of the sun.
Many physical processes in our body show the same rhythmic flow during a 24 hours.
We all have a so called biological clock that regulates these 24-hour rhythms.

The awareness of your natural rhythm of waking up and going to bed is important, because ignoring your natural rhythm could cause sleep related problems.
Evening people usually have a harder time in society because the social rhythm is based on activities during the day and sleep during the night.
Small adjustments can be made towards the natural rhythm though. Because light influences the biological clock evening people can jump-start their day by intentionally staring out into the daylight.
In this way,  you stabilize your rhythm. An evening person, however, will never be a morning person ( nor vice versa)!
