Will my waterbed leak?

Will my waterbed leak Yes, everything will break eventually, but a good water mattress will not do so very soon. Sharp objects that accidentally end up in your bed have to penetrate through the thick cover first before they will puncture your water mattress. When you take a bit of care for your waterbed that virtually never happens
If there should be a leak at some point, however, you can easily repair it yourself. The sleep comfort will not be influenced in any way after you have repaired it.

Can my water mattress tear?

No. A water mattress is a pressureless system. Even if you lie down on your mattress with the pull cap opened no water should spill. That is why the water only drips very slowly between the safety liner and the mattress, in the unlikely event of a damaged water mattress.

strength of a watermattress The chance of a leak is very small, especially if you choose a European brand product. The current production techniques guarantee, after all, sturdy welds and most water mattresses are provided with a safety liner that makes sure no water will pour out of your bed. No water damage should occur, when properly installed. The water is under no pressure, nor has it the tendency to come out in large quantities. You could practically sleep with an opened pull cap.

Did you know we tested the sturdiness and strength of our water mattress by showing the world we could put 100 people on 1 bed? On the popular game show "Wetten dass" from Germany's ZDF channel, youth centre "club 9 " from Koersel (Belgium) repeated their world record stunt. 100 of them stood on the one waterbed and nearly became "Wettekönig" on the programme. The world record was officially set in April 1990 (in the Limburg hall in Genk, Belgium) and registered in the Guinness Book of Records.
