The bedroom is more than likely one of the rooms you'll spend most of your time. You will sleep in it, wake up, make love and more. The bedroom is a very versatile and frequently used space in your house. It would be a terrible shame if you did not feel comfortable there. Following suggestions will definitely turn your bedroom into a superb environment, a pleasure to invite any partner and make them feel comfortable.
The bedroom should be a peaceful and relaxing space.

1 : Your bed

Sleeping on a waterbed is the most perfect way to relax. The quality of the bed, the mattress, pillows and covers too play an important role.
When looking for a new mattress try to aim for the most comfortable mattress, and a bed that is big enough. A 4D comfort waterbed will offer your bedroom an extra dimension.

Bed frames and bedroom furniture are available in all shapes, colours and sizes, whether you prefer a contemporary or an antique bed. Keep in mind that most modern beds are quite often bigger than antique beds.
A mirror can provide a special atmosphere.
If you position the same bedside table on both sides of the bedstead you create a certain equilibrium in your bedroom. Not just that, but this way you also create more storage space in your bedroom, keeping it looking neat and tidy.
A 4D waterbed allow you to build in a safe, to lock away your valuable documents.

2 : The walls

Give your bedroom walls a colour that radiates peacefulness. Soothing colours are e.g. pale blue, yellow, green, bright pink, white and lavender. These colours tend to make you more relaxed. Hang up a nice painting or picture that you will be able to see whenever you wake up. Preferably try to use a lot of decorative objects that will give  you a certain boost and a good humour.

3 : Your office

It's best not to combine your workplace with your bedroom. If there is no other way, then try to divide the room so your desk isn't visible from your bed.

4 : Appliances

Your bedroom is not supposed to be a room filled with appliances, however this is very hard to avoid these days. It's important however to turn off the TV and any computer and preferably covering these appliances.

5 : Temperature

The heater can also have a bad influence on the bedroom. Too high temperatures will reduce the quality of your sleep environment. and will dry out your respiratory tract.
Keep the bedroom well ventilated. Choose a temperature you feel comfortable with. Excessive heat or cold will disrupt your sleep. You can lower the temperature either by using less covers or just opening a window. It is best not to leave the heater on. If you can't live without, then don't turn it higher than 18°C. Obviously sleeping with the heater on and the windows opened is a terrible waste.

6 : Tidying up

Keep your bedroom neat and tidy and attractive. When you wake up in an untidy dirty bedroom, this will affect the mood and energy of both you and your partner. Waking up in a room that's clean and tidy will make you ready to take on the whole world.
Very practical is a bed with spacious drawers. This extra storage space means you don't have to leave your stuff scattered around.
When you are single, you never when you might meet that person you want to share your bedroom with. But a sloppy bedroom leaves anything but a good impression.

7 : Insulation

A quiet environment can improve your sleep. You can insulate your bedroom to keep out light and unwanted noises. You can also use earplugs or eye covers.
Some people claim they are used to loud noises at night, and aren't bothered by it during their sleep. (e.g. sleeping next to a busy road)  Nevertheless, the human body can't get used to noises at night. Noise during the deep sleep phase in particular prevents the body from recovering from physical fatigue. Unexpected noises during your sleep increase your heartbeat preventing a relaxing sleep.
When possible provide acoustic windows where necessary, and position the bedrooms at the most quiet side of your house.
Do not forget to make sure your bed doesn't squeak.

8 : Lighting

It's very important to have an adjustable mood lighting. Soft colours and dimmed lighting will add a soothing, calming effect to your bedroom interior.
Light doesn't merely affect your eyes, but also your mind. Darkness unconsciously creates the right atmosphere for your brains to find peace. Too much lighting at night, however, will interrupt your biorhythm. Good curtains or other types of screens that keep out light sufficiently are recommended for a good sleep.
