Europe's largest waterbed manufacturer

Since its establishment 25 years ago, T.T.I. has grown considerably, until it reached its current form: a group of companies with a solid financial base. T.T.I. is the production company within the T.T.I.-group, specializing in  the production of waterbed systems. 
Meanwhile T.T.I. also grew to be one of the largest employers in the city of Bree and became the largest  waterbed manufacturer in Europe, selling in all EU countries. At this stage the T.T.I.-group occupies a total of 56000 m ²  (47000 yds2) of production floor, spread over several production units on 15 Ha (37 acres) of industrial area.

Modern technology

T.T.I. consists of a number of independent production units, each with its own focus.

During the last 15 years the company invested heavily in the expansion of its own production facilities and built a very extensive and versatile machinery. At this moment the T.T.I. production units combine ultra modern technology and old-fashioned craftsmanship. It is exactly this combination which makes the T.T.I. production versatile and flexible.

The continuous investment policy made it possible for the company to continually advance further, and now it has complete control over every aspect of the process.

This control ensures that T.T.I. can guarantee every single part of its products and that it can react quickly to all demands from the market. This combination of technology and craftsmanship also enables T.T.I. to produce prototypes, made-to-measure products and small series.

Apart from its own brand products, T.T.I. also produces semi-manufactured products and private label products for other companies.

Design and Development

T.T.I. has introduced more and more automated technologies in its production and also the design and development process evolved to a fully computer aided system.
By aid of optimising programs, the T.T.I. designers and engineers assure a faster, more economical and perfectly controllable production process, in which the care for our environment plays an important part.

Products made by people

The T.T.I. group currently employs 150 motivated people in the different production units, administration, sales, marketing, planning and transportation.

The constant expansion of the company made it one of the largest employers in the city of Bree. In behalf of all these employees, T.T.I. implements a rigorous safety and health policy, for which it received praise by the local authorities.

To enhance the commitment and collaboration of all employees, a production meeting with the team leaders of each unit is held every day.

Experience and know-how

The long tradition of TTI gave it a big advantage in know-how and experience over its competitors. This know-how is past on to the new employees by a well organised system of internal schooling.

All processes under one roof

T.T.I. masters all techniques needed to manufacture its own products. Therefore, it does not need to depend on semi-manufactures of third parties. This way of working has extended the know-how about every aspect of the products within the T.T.I. workforce.

The welding of PVC foil, the processing of fabrics and wood, the extrusion of PVC profiles, the creation and moulding of PU foam, the assembly of billboards, the design of new products… it is all done in the company’s own production units.

This method of working guarantees a high degree of flexibility, but obviously also demands a high level of expertise within the workforce. This necessary competence, however, also makes sure that adaptations can be implemented quickly and that regularly new ideas from out of the work units are used to improve the products.

From the innovating designs, through the purchase of the best raw materials, all the way to the promotion of the products, everything is done by T.T.I.’s own employees. Through this quality aimed procedure T.T.I. earned its current leadership on the European market.

Custom made products

Basically every single product of T.T.I. is treated as a made-to-measure item. After all, the possibilities in the T.T.I. collections are so elaborate, that every single product that leaves the factory could indeed be different. Therefore T.T.I. products are only produced after they have been ordered and every part is already labelled with the names of the dealer and the client it is meant for. Several companies already have their own private label products manufactured by T.T.I..

The different production units are guided by the central planning department, which also controls the timing within the production.

Because T.T.I. manages all of its products itself and manufactures them in its own production units, there's sometimes room to sail along an extraordinary course. T.T.I.'s waterbeds are known for some progressive advertisement campaigns that can be called unusual to say the least.

In that sense, the company is a strong trendsetter, with an extensive web of sales points.

A very unique manufacturer

Being the biggest and best equipped waterbed manufacturer in Europe enables T.T.I.  to perform thorough research and introduce completely new products.
One example is the T.T.I. water bench for instance. No other company was able to put this theory into practise, because they lacked the technology and know-how.

This water bench also gave the company a new marketing strategy, by manufacturing business-to-business products. At the same time T.T.I. also took the opportunity to offer waterbeds as an incentive.

Challenging concepts

Several of T.T.I'.s innovating designs have been patented.

Ever since 2005 the T.T.I. group has acquired the exclusive rights to the 4D-Vinyl foil.
With this product the firm distances itself from all other waterbed systems and resolutely makes a choice towards the future.

European products for the European market

A privately managed production facility gives T.T.I. the power to steer its products towards the wishes of the European market, making it independent of the standardized products imported from the US or the Far East.

This makes T.T.I. better aware of the needs of the European consumers. Consequently, it has built an immense clientele based on the knowledge, a solid company policy, honest and realistic warranty conditions and customer-friendly service.
